Public policy intersects with every function of business.

Regardless of the size of your firm, the industry you represent, or where in Oregon your company is located, policies being considered at the Legislature and at local municipal government levels impact us all.  

As your business advocacy association, we will lobby for pro-business policies, educate the public on legislation which impacts businesses, help our members network on industry-specific issues, and work to hold elected officials accountable for their business votes.

Unified Business Oregon opposes policies that pick winners and losers in our economy.  We stand together against special carve-outs and back-room deals which shift the burden for taxes and regulations onto business owners.  

At UBO, we're committed to ensuring our members have a voice in public policy matters that impact the business operations, regulatory, and taxation environments. 

To accomplish this goal, we work to take member input on issues; lobby in favor, or in opposition, to matters of interest by our members; and keep our members apprised of pending legislation.

We'll focus on helping our members understand some of the administrative rule-making that happens around labor policies passed by the Legislature and make sure our members are apprised of changes which could impact their businesses.

With 36 counties, over 240 incorporated cities, and regional governments, sometimes our members need a hand navigating local business matters.  UBO's leadership has decades of public process experience and we can help guide our members through the system on local issues which are business specific.

Membership in Unified Business Oregon is open to all business owners/operators operating a registered business in Oregon, regardless of company size, industry, or geography.  

Our Affiliate Membership is open to other qualified business and trade organizations, as well as sole proprietors.
